Is this safe?

Every listing is reviewed by a real person, communities are invite-only, and families can verify their email and phone. Not everyone verifies — it isn't required on the free tier — so you can choose to swap only with Verified Families when that matters to you. If you're buying an item for cash, the payment is between the two families, so meet somewhere public and check the item before handing money across.

Is it free?

Yes, the free tier gives you everything you need to swap. Premium (€25/mo, excluding VAT) is for parents who want to reliably have enough points to get new-to-them toys for their kids each month.

What if a swap falls through?

Nothing's lost. Your points come back automatically after 4 days if the other family doesn't respond.

Do I need the app?

Playloop is web-based for now — it works beautifully on your phone browser, no download needed.

What if I don't have a community code?

You don't need one. Just browse everyone in your city. Community codes are a bonus, not a barrier.

What can I list?

Anything for kids aged 0–6 — toys, clothes, books, gear, furniture, whatever they've outgrown. We keep the age range tight so listings are actually useful.

Can I sell items instead of swapping?

Yes. When you list an item you choose one path: swap it for points, sell it for cash, or donate it. Cash sales are arranged directly between the two families and happen in person — playloop does not process, hold or take a cut of the payment, we simply connect you.

How do points work?

You get 5 points once your first listing is posted — for a swap, a sale or a donation — then earn more with each swap you complete. Swaps involve no cash at all. Premium gives you enough points every month to keep new-to-them things coming, plus the option to top up.
